West Coast University

A student portal concept and a programme teaser film for research into the future of healthcare education.

The project

West Coast University partnered with Treehouse Innovation on an eight-month research and design programme to reimagine the future of healthcare education.

Research with students, faculty, alumni, employers and clinical partners identified seven unmet needs and generated 120 ideas, narrowed to six prototypes for WCU's innovation team to develop further.

What I did

I designed the UI for a student portal concept that brought the learning journey, support and performance information into one connected experience, and created a teaser film to communicate the programme's ambition.

Outcome

The film helped communicate the programme's ambition across the wider university community.

The i-Inspire Studio portal on a laptop, a phone and a tablet.

The portal on three laptops: the resource library, the home screen and the studio.

The portal on three tablets: resources, self service and a how-to guide.
